About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated professionals to lead our Business Banking efforts in the following sectors:

As a Sector Head, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the Business Banking strategy, expanding the portfolio within your assigned sector, and ensuring sustainable growth and profitability for the bank. This is a senior managerial role based at our Head Office with an Open-Ended contract.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Development (60%)
- Drive business growth within the allocated sector by identifying and capitalizing on new and existing customer opportunities.
- Implement the Business Banking strategy in alignment with the sector’s goals and the bank’s overarching strategy.
- Achieve sector growth targets by driving product sales, increasing customer engagement, and expanding market share.
- Develop and execute business development initiatives to enhance client acquisition and retention.
- Enhance product usage and wallet share among existing clients to maximize profitability.
- Work closely with branch business banking teams to ensure successful sector performance.
- Lead product development efforts specific to your sector.
- Evaluate credit proposals, ensuring timely processing and compliance with bank turnaround times.
- Manage portfolio quality, ensuring non-performing loans and risk exposure remain within acceptable limits.
Customer Retention (30%)
- Provide expert financial solutions tailored to customer needs within the designated sector.
- Address and resolve client concerns efficiently to maintain high service standards.
- Grow the bank’s wallet share in the SME sector by optimizing financial solutions.
- Monitor client credit facilities, ensuring timely renewals and proactive portfolio management.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, enhancing service delivery and business continuity.
- Reduce account dormancy and enhance transaction activity across the portfolio.
- Ensure continuous customer engagement, improving retention and overall customer experience.
People Development & Leadership (10%)
- Provide strategic guidance and support to branch teams to help them achieve sector targets.
- Build capacity within the Business Banking team by fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Develop skills and knowledge among team members to enhance sector performance and overall bank growth.

Key Competencies & Experience

- Mindset: Goal-oriented, self-driven, and passionate about performance in a competitive environment.
- Portfolio Management: Ability to maintain a quality asset book and assess credit facilities effectively.
