The Agricultural Society of Kenya (A.S.K) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in agriculture, trade, and allied sectors. Through exhibitions, research, technology, and innovations, we aim to enhance food security, employment, and wealth creation.

To address future manpower needs, we invite high-potential fresh university graduates to join our Management Trainee Development Program. This program provides intensive on-the-job training to build capacity in various management areas.

Management Trainee Positions

REF-ASK/MT/25/1 – MANAGEMENT TRAINEE (CIVIL ENGINEERING)

Position Scope: The successful candidate will report to the respective department/section managers and undergo structured training in civil engineering projects and management within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure.
  • Participate in project management and resource allocation.
  • Support implementation of engineering best practices and standards.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet required specifications.

Requirements:

  • At least an Upper Second-Class Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office and design software.
  • Registered member of the Engineers Board of Kenya.
  • Must have a clearance certificate from HELB.
  • Must possess a valid certificate of good conduct.

REF-ASK/MT/25/2 – MANAGEMENT TRAINEE (PROCUREMENT)

Position Scope: The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training in procurement and supply chain management, working closely with senior managers to understand procurement processes and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in procurement planning and supplier evaluation.
  • Support the implementation of procurement policies and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in contract management and vendor negotiations.
  • Work with ERP systems for procurement and inventory management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Upper Second-Class Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or a related field.
  • Membership in the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Strong financial, budgeting, and planning skills.
  • A team player with excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Must possess a valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Must have a clearance certificate from HELB.
