1. Office of the Vice-Chancellor
Position: Deputy Registrar (Council Secretariat) – Grade 14

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall and smooth running of all Council matters.
- Advise the Council on administrative and academic departmental matters within the University.
- Set and implement Performance Contract (PC) targets for the Council.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management Standards (QMS) for the implementation of performance management systems.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to the Council.
- Formulate and implement strategic plans.
- Ensure effective and efficient execution of management policies decided by the Council.
- Manage logistics for Council and Council Committee meetings, record minutes, and facilitate Council communications.
- Respond to correspondences directed to the Council, Chairman, and other Council Members.
- Induct and train new Council members.
- Prepare and review Council Committee Charters.
- Prepare and implement the Council almanac and annual work plans.
- Maintain accurate records of Council deliberations.
