To support our growing operations, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Laboratory Analyst to join our team. This position will report to the Laboratory Supervisor and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of Health Products and Technologies through rigorous analytical laboratory testing.
Position: Laboratory Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory testing on various health products and technologies in compliance with relevant standards to assess their quality using appropriate analytical techniques.
- Accurately document all laboratory testing processes using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) from sample preparation to results review.
- Provide training sessions for internal and external stakeholders as a subject matter expert, including client education and revenue generation services.
- Ensure proper operation, cleaning, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment while conducting verification tests to confirm their suitability for use.
- Successfully transfer validated analytical testing methods from donor institutions (e.g., manufacturers and laboratories) to MEDS laboratory for client sample analysis.
- Participate in proficiency and inter-laboratory testing to demonstrate laboratory competence and compliance with international standards.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for laboratory processes.
- Engage in self-inspections and external audits to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Uphold safety and regulatory requirements while adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Conduct daily environmental monitoring of controlled laboratory areas to maintain compliance with international guidelines on differential temperature and relative humidity.
- Maintain high safety standards at all times as part of GLP requirements.
- Ensure meticulous record-keeping in accordance with Good Record-Keeping Practices (GRKPs) to maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a Pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory.
- Strong technical competencies, including knowledge of regulatory standards such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
- Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), safety and compliance measures, laboratory equipment maintenance, and servicing.
- Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency and data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent functional skills, including communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, innovation, interpersonal relations, attention to detail, and a high level of integrity.
