We are looking for qualified candidates to fill the following positions:


1. Senior Principal Curriculum Development Officer – Creative Arts, Primary (KICD Grade 4)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Chief Principal Curriculum Development Officer – Primary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development, evaluation, and review of curricula and curriculum support materials.
  • Initiate and participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Coordinate activities of subject and course panels.
  • Initiate and conduct basic, applied, and action research to address knowledge gaps in curriculum development.
  • Undertake research to contribute to the general body of knowledge.
  • Develop and update the research Information Management System to monitor curriculum implementation.
  • Publish research documents, including the East African Journal of Educational Research (EAJER).
  • Develop abstracts of research reports for dissemination on the KICD website.
  • Organize research panels and the annual KICD symposium.
  • Evaluate the use of digital resources and ICT integration in curriculum delivery.
  • Establish networks, partnerships, and collaborations in digital content material development.

2. Senior Principal Curriculum Development Officer – Mathematics, Secondary (KICD Grade 4)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Chief Principal Curriculum Development Officer – Secondary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development, evaluation, and review of curricula and curriculum support materials.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Coordinate subject and course panel activities.
  • Conduct research to bridge knowledge gaps in curriculum development.
  • Develop and maintain a research database for monitoring curriculum implementation.
  • Publish research materials, including in the East African Journal of Educational Research (EAJER).
  • Organize research panels and annual KICD symposiums.
  • Evaluate digital resources and ICT integration in curriculum delivery.
  • Foster partnerships and collaborations in developing digital content materials.

3. Senior Principal Curriculum Development Officer – English, Primary (KICD Grade 4)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Chief Principal Curriculum Development Officer – Primary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate curriculum development, evaluation, and review.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Manage subject and course panels.
  • Conduct basic and applied research to support curriculum development.
  • Maintain a research Information Management System.
  • Publish educational research documents.
  • Organize research panels and KICD symposiums.
  • Evaluate digital resources and ICT integration.
  • Develop networks and partnerships for digital content creation.

4. Principal ICT Officer (KICD Grade 5)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Assistant Director, ICT

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate systems to ensure adherence to performance standards.
  • Administer and maintain LAN and WAN.
  • Control user access to databases and optimize their performance.
  • Manage outsourced ICT arrangements.
  • Ensure maintenance and security of IT systems.
  • Support ICT policy enforcement in line with national ICT policies.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to staff.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct annual asset audits.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing ICT services.

5. Senior Curriculum Development Officer – Physical Education, Secondary (KICD Grade 6)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Secondary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop relevant and high-quality curriculum and support materials.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Contribute to subject and course panels.
  • Conduct research to inform curriculum development.
  • Manage data and communicate research findings effectively.

6. Senior Curriculum Development Officer – French, Secondary (KICD Grade 6)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Secondary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality curriculum and curriculum support materials.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Provide input to subject and course panels.
  • Conduct research to inform curriculum development.
  • Manage data and effectively communicate research findings.

7. Senior Curriculum Development Officer – Mathematics (KICD Grade 6)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Secondary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop relevant curriculum and curriculum support materials.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Contribute to subject and course panels.
  • Conduct basic and applied research for curriculum development.
  • Manage data and communicate research outcomes.

8. Curriculum Development Officer – CRE Primary (KICD Grade 6)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Pre-Primary and Primary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop quality curriculum and support materials for CRE Primary.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Provide input to subject and course panels.
  • Conduct research to inform curriculum development.
  • Manage data and communicate research findings.

9. Senior Security Officer (KICD Grade 6)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Administration

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security policies.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies on security matters.
  • Supervise contracted security service providers.
  • Investigate and resolve security breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with security statutory regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.

10. Principal Studio Technical Operator (KICD Grade 6)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Technical Services

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate operations of broadcasting and information equipment.
  • Supervise electronic field production operations.
  • Maintain audio-visual programs.
  • Ensure smooth operations of studios and outside broadcasting vans.

11. Curriculum Development Officer – Theatre and Film, Secondary (KICD Grade 7)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Secondary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop quality curriculum and curriculum support materials for Theatre and Film.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Provide input to subject and course panels.
  • Conduct research to inform curriculum development.
  • Manage data and communicate research findings.

12. Curriculum Development Officer – Hindu Religious Education (KICD Grade 7)

One (1) Post

Reporting to: Deputy Director, Secondary Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop curriculum and curriculum support materials for Hindu Religious Education.
  • Participate in curriculum orientation activities.
  • Provide input to subject and course panels.
  • Conduct research to support curriculum development.
  • Manage data and communicate research findings.
