1. Receptionist

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS
Applicants MUST provide the following documents on application:-
i). A Signed application letter;
ii). A detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating current and previous employers, positions held,
level of education, current and expected salary, notice period required to take up
appointment and names of at least three professional referees;
iii). Copies of academic and professional certificates; and
iv). Copy of National Identification Card or Passport.

Important Information to note:


i). Candidates should provide all the details requested for in the advertisement. It is an
offence to include incorrect information in the application;
ii). Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted;
iii). Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification;
iv). Shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce originals of their National Identity
Card, academic and professional certificates during interviews; and
v). It is a criminal offence to present fake certificates/documents.

2. SECURITY OFFICER – OPERATIONS – (KET 6) TWO (2)

Key Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks


vii). Conducting routine physical security inspections of Company’s premises, assets and
transmission lines;
viii). Undertaking Security Risk Assessments and Security Inspections;
i). Supervising the Security Agents/Regional Officers
ii). Ensuring that the Company staff and service providers comply with security policies,
regulations and guidelines
iii). Ensuring systematic filing and documentation of all security operation files and reports
iv). Ensuring all contracted security personnel are well conversant with work procedures
and work standing orders.
v). Ensuring effective and efficient manning of CCTV and Access Control to the
Company’s premises to detect any unlawful access or interference.
vi). Supervising contracted security personnel and other security agencies

Qualifications & Skills required


i). A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences/ security management or equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution,
ii). Served in the Police Service/Military and attained the rank of Inspector/Captain
iii). Management course lasting not less that three months from a recognized institution.
iv). Investigations/Intelligence course lasting not less than one (1) month.
v). Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) months.
vi). Computer literate
vii). A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience

3. Office Administrator

Key Responsibilities;


i). Ensuring proper utilisation of office stationery.
ii). Supporting Head of department/directorate carrying out administrative/office duties;
iii). Coordinating correspondences within the Directorate;
iv). Editing/referencing letters, memos and documents for accuracy before dispatch;
v). Ensuring accurate records management in the directorate by Maintaining office
systems and management of whole filing system to Company standard procedures;
vi). Providing assistance in preparing office procedures; i.e. departmental Annual work
plan, Annual procurement plan;
vii). Providing general support to visitors either in person, by email or phone;
viii). Initiating payments process in the SAP ERP platform upon approval such as Preparing
and monitoring purchase requisitions for vender’s invoice payments for services

Qualifications & Skills required


i). Diploma in Business Administration/Office Management/Human Resource
Management/ Secretarial Course/Inventory Management or related field from a
recognized institution.
ii). Full member of KENASA
iii). Supervisory course lasting not less than two weeks;
iv). A minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience

4. Business Development Officer

Key Responsibilities;


i). Identifying potential Consultancy Services customers through networking initiatives or
any other sales model.
ii). Supporting in development of sales presentations to potential customers.
iii). Resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner to maintain customer
loyalty.
iv). Working closely with cross-cutting Departments and customers to identify business
opportunities
v). Liaising with customers in relation to contracting, licensing, and compliance
requirements;
vi). Supporting billing and collection of revenues when invoices are due.
vii). Developing ways to reduce operational costs and improve KETRACO’s profit.
viii). Advising and guiding customers.

Qualifications & Skills required
i). Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Economics/Strategic Management/
Commerce or related field from a recognized institution
ii). A minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience

Working condition – Office setting and field visits

5. LEGAL OFFICER

Key Responsibilities;


i). Providing research material necessary for institution of suits in courts/tribunals;
i). Undertaking the discovery of evidence for use in cases where the Company is a party;
ii). Drafting pleadings and other relevant documents for filing in courts/tribunals;
iii). Aiding communication with the Office of Attorney General and Department of Justice
as may be required in litigation management;
iv). Conducting witness preparations for trials/hearings and arranging attendances of
witnesses;
v). Implementing Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms;
vi). Initiating settlement proceedings where appropriate in matters pending in
courts/tribunals;
vii). Conducting hearings in matters before courts/tribunals;

Qualifications & Skills required


i). Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution
ii). Be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, member of Law Society of Kenya (LSK)
and have a valid practicing certificate.
iii). Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Council of Legal Education;
iv). A minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience
