About the Function: Supply Chain and Manufacturing

Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team is the engine that powers our global operations. They are the problem-solvers who ensure that our world-class brands are sourced, produced, and delivered efficiently and sustainably. With over half of Diageo’s workforce involved in this function, we operate across 100 sites in more than 30 countries, encompassing production facilities, supplier networks, customer collaborations, and third-party agreements.

About the Role: Supply Chain Operations Manager

We are looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager who will play a pivotal role in leading the “Transform the Business” agenda for KBL Supply and addressing tactical challenges faced by the Supply function. As a strategic leader, you will collaborate with Supply Chain functional leads to formulate the KBL Supply Chain Strategy, conduct Annual Capacity Planning, and develop a 3-year productivity pipeline.

You will also be responsible for driving the Digital Supply Chain Transformation project and ensuring strategic contracts with third-party logistics providers, engineering, and utilities are effectively managed. In addition, you will be the single point of contact for the Commercial teams, addressing availability concerns and resolving material shortages to prevent Out of Stock (OOS) situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Optimization: Continuously explore ways to enhance performance through optimization initiatives.
  • Strategic Investments: Provide oversight and timely decision-making on strategic investments.
  • Visibility and Reporting: Ensure timely visibility of initiatives and follow up on key unlock actions for issue resolution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively across all stakeholder groups, acting as the single point of contact within the defined scope.
  • Decision Escalation: Escalate critical issues that require quick decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of senior manufacturing experience in a Supply Chain-related role.
  • An MBA is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authority.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and customer collaboration.
  • Understanding of how leading technology can enable Smart Manufacturing.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with business leaders, teams, external stakeholders, and peers.
  • Strong functional expertise with intellectual insights and change management experience.
  • Proficiency in technical skills, industry-standard systems development, and people development.
  • Strong financial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of P&L interactions, balance sheet, cash flow, and the impact of supply operations on these financial elements.
  • Thought leadership in site and manufacturing development, including emerging technologies in the beer, cider, and non-alcoholic beverage industries.
