Job Opening: Operations Intern

Main Job Purpose

The Operations Intern will assist in the seamless coordination of flights, ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations and the efficient execution of service delivery as per the Kenya Civil Aviation Regulations and company policies. This role involves flight planning, communication with aircraft commanders, flight monitoring, and providing vital administrative support to the Operations Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the flight operations team in coordinating and executing daily flight activities, ensuring they meet client expectations and aviation regulations.
  • Contribute to flight planning and dispatching processes while adhering to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under supervision.
  • Ensure flight plans for active flights are accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate the clearance process by delivering manifests to immigration offices.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records, including flight and event logs, aircrew flying records, and flight operations records for inbound and outbound flights.
  • Establish and manage air-to-ground and point-to-point radio communications with aircraft commanders.
  • Assist in data entry for all relevant flight information into the company database system, along with proper filing of flight operations documents for monitoring purposes.
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Department, including organizing and replenishing stationery supplies as needed.
  • Carry out any additional work-related assignments delegated by the Operations Manager and duty officer.
