Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Senior Investment Analyst role is to conduct extensive research across asset classes to support informed investment decisions. The analyst will be responsible for evaluating market trends, assessing investment opportunities, and providing comprehensive financial models to support the fund management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a broad perspective on current and future economic conditions and industry trends, providing insights that influence investment strategies.
- Conduct detailed analysis of potential investment opportunities across traditional and non-traditional asset classes.
- Develop and utilize financial models to evaluate prospective investment opportunities and provide well-informed recommendations.
- Derive capital market expectations to aid in investment planning and decision-making processes.
- Conduct extensive market research across industries to gather and analyze market intelligence for improved client fund management.
- Actively participate in investment committee meetings, presenting findings and contributing to asset allocation decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest economic trends globally, within Kenya, and across various industry sectors.
- Prepare and present due diligence reports to the fund management team, providing critical insights for investment considerations.
- Support Britam subsidiaries by offering macroeconomic and investment-specific research to enhance decision-making.
- Prepare and present comprehensive investment reports to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Delegated Authority
The Senior Investment Analyst will operate within the approved Delegated Authority Matrix to ensure compliance with organizational policies and investment regulations.
