CREDIT OFFICER

Job Purpose
The Credit Officer will be responsible for collecting debts and carrying out periodic reconciliations of debtor (individual and corporate schemes) accounts to ensure timely debt collection in compliance with the Hospital’s credit policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispatch monthly statements of accounts to clients to keep them updated on their debt status.
- Monitor credit limits for corporate clients and interim bills for insurance companies to ensure timely action on accounts exceeding credit limits and prompt bill settlement.
- Follow up on debt collection in line with set targets.
- Schedule and attend meetings with clients to address credit-related matters.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports as required.
- Receive and submit remittances from clients to treasury, ensuring payments are allocated accurately in debt records.
- Prepare, dispatch, and maintain a record of statement expectation letters and notices of suspicion as per set guidelines.
- Address client queries regarding bank guarantees and contracts in collaboration with the corporate schemes department.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations on client account portfolios to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Respond to internal and external audit queries as required.
- Prepare periodic write-off schedules for management approval.
- Generate and send client invoices as per the hospital’s billing requirements.
- Identify and communicate clients eligible for rewards to the marketing team for further action.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Occasional Duties
- Chair weekly departmental meetings and take minutes on a rotational basis.
