Job Description: Agency Sales Manager
Mission Statement for the Role
The Agency Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing designated territories in Poa! Internet’s Agency Business Model. The role involves managing a team of 7-12 Trade Development Representatives (TDRs) to exceed business targets, focusing on customer acquisition, team productivity improvement, and optimizing commission-based agent onboarding for greater efficiency.
Overall Responsibility
The primary role of the Agency Sales Manager is to develop and implement effective strategies for recruiting, onboarding, and managing productive sales agents. The goal is to drive market penetration and ensure consistent sales growth while maintaining operational efficiency within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Performance & Market Penetration
- Achieve and exceed progressive monthly sales targets within the designated territory, reaching 1,000 sales by the twelfth month.
- Expand geographical coverage within the assigned region to ensure continuous growth.
- Develop sales strategies to penetrate untapped markets and maximize sales potential.
- Optimize resource allocation and marketing efforts to enhance revenue while minimizing the cost of acquisition.
2. Recruitment & Team Management
- Drive recruitment activities within the territory to build a strong team of TDRs and commission-only sales agents.
- Ensure recruitment aligns with the approved manpower budget and Poa!’s recruitment guidelines.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and analyze conversion rates to ensure recruitment efforts result in high-quality sales personnel.
3. Training & Performance Development
- Conduct regular training programs to equip TDRs and agents with the necessary skills for success.
- Monitor sales funnels and key conversion rates using Poa!’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Identify skill gaps and create targeted training plans to enhance team performance.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) for low-performing team members while recognizing and rewarding high performers.
4. Supervision & Field Operations
- Provide leadership by planning daily routes, conducting weekly sales meetings, and tracking performance.
- Develop corrective action plans to ensure all sales targets are met.
- Guide TDRs on field operations, ensuring they are equipped to manage agent networks effectively.
- Establish an effective support system for commission-only agents to maintain motivation and high productivity.
5. Data-Driven Decision Making
- Monitor sales funnels and track performance through real-time CRM reporting.
- Develop and analyze weekly and monthly reports to assess team performance.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to create monthly marketing calendars, allocate budgets, and assess marketing return on investment (ROI).
6. High-Quality Agent Onboarding
- Conduct thorough assessments of newly recruited sales agents.
- Execute weekly training sessions for both new and existing commission-only agents.
- Achieve a minimum agent productivity score of 5 per month.
- Implement retention strategies to ensure a strong and stable salesforce.
7. Fostering a Positive Work Culture

- Monitor operational costs and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses.
People Management
- Directly oversee a team of 7-12 TDRs and indirectly manage up to 350 active commission-based sales agents.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and motivation to ensure high-performance levels within the team.
- Conduct performance appraisals and implement growth strategies for team members.
