We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern – Information Management to join our team in Nairobi. Role Summary
The Intern – Information Management will support the UNEP team in managing and organizing data, maintaining databases, and enhancing information accessibility. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate data collection, proper documentation, and effective information dissemination within UNEP.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management & Organization:
- Assist in collecting, processing, and managing information and data for various UNEP programs and projects.
- Maintain and update information systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Support the development of metadata and indexing for better information retrieval.
- Information Accessibility & Dissemination:
- Ensure proper documentation of reports, research findings, and relevant data.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external use.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and the organization of digital resources.
- Technology & System Support:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of digital tools for effective information management.
- Provide technical support for data visualization and dashboard creation.
- Support the implementation of automated systems for better information flow.
- Research & Analysis:
- Conduct research on best practices in information management and digital archiving.
- Analyze information management trends and provide insights for process improvements.
- Assist in reviewing and verifying the quality of data and information sources.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with UNEP departments and partners to streamline data-sharing processes.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to information management.
- Support coordination efforts with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and knowledge exchange.
