Job Summary
The Media Consultant will be responsible for recording and editing interviews, focus group discussions, and other key project activities for a PhD research project titled “Addressing Diagnostic Challenges in Paediatric Rheumatology in Kenya.” This includes capturing high-quality video and audio content, editing materials for analysis and dissemination, and ensuring that all media produced aligns with the project’s goals and ethical standards.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in media production, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a research setting.
Responsibilities
The Consultancy will:
• Record and produce high-quality video and audio content for research analysis and dissemination.
• Edit and compile media content for presentations, publications, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure ethical compliance and privacy protection in all media-related activities.
• Provide technical expertise and creative input to enhance the representation of research findings.
Deliverables
• High-quality recordings of interviews, focus group discussions, and events.
• Edited video and audio materials, including short clips and compilations.
• Media content with captions, subtitles, and branding.
• Final consultancy report summarizing activities and recommendations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Media Production, Communication, Film Studies, or a related field.
• Professional certification in video editing or sound production is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in media production, including recording and editing interviews or events.
• Proven track record of working on research projects, documentaries, or healthcare-related media is a strong plus.
