Position: Quality Control Supervisor
Location: Roo Bay Farm, Homa Bay

As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for upholding the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards within our aquaculture operations. You will work closely with various teams to oversee key processes, monitor product quality, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and maintaining operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities
Quality Control and Assurance
- Develop and implement quality control processes across all stages of the production chain, from feed to fish.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with operations and sales teams to establish and maintain quality benchmarks.
Process Improvement and Data Analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address areas for process improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Collect and analyze quality metrics and key performance indicators.
- Use data-driven insights to proactively prevent potential quality issues.
Compliance Management and Training
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
- Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Train staff on quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and compliance.
- Ensure that all team members are adequately trained to meet quality objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Reporting
- Work with production, operations, and sales teams to address quality concerns.
- Serve as a liaison between different departments to ensure smooth communication on quality-related matters.
- Collaborate with suppliers to maintain high-quality standards throughout the supply chain.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality assurance performance.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Aquaculture, Biology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality control within aquaculture, food production, or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, GMPs, and GHPs.
- Experience conducting regular inspections, audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating data and implementing process improvements.
- In-depth understanding of industry regulations and compliance management.
- Ability to train staff on quality assurance protocols and promote a culture of quality.
- Excellent communication skills for report preparation and interdepartmental coordination.
- High attention to detail in monitoring quality metrics and regulatory adherence.
