As part of our continuous effort to expand and improve healthcare services, we are seeking a highly qualified Paediatric Ophthalmologist to join our dedicated medical team.
Position: Paediatric Ophthalmologist
Purpose of the Job
The Paediatric Ophthalmologist will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing various eye conditions affecting children from infancy through adolescence. The specialist will work closely with young patients and their families to ensure optimal eye health through compassionate and expert care. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address complex cases and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for children of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat pediatric eye conditions such as amblyopia, strabismus, and congenital cataracts.
- Perform surgical procedures when necessary to correct vision problems or eye disorders.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed.
- Educate families on preventive eye care and the importance of regular check-ups.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain detailed patient records and follow up on treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on advancements in pediatric ophthalmology and incorporate best practices into patient care.
