DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTIONS
1. Internal Audit Assistant (KeMU/ADM/IAR/1/3/2025)
Location: Main Campus
Reporting to: Manager, Internal Audit and Risk Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial audits and evaluate internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assess risks, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Document audit findings and prepare reports.
- Support external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA (K) / ACCA certification and ICPAK membership.
- Certification in System Audit (CISA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of two (2) years of audit experience, preferably in higher education.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
2. E-Learning Support Officer (KeMU/ADM/BVL/2/3/2025)
Location: Nairobi Campus
Reporting to: Coordinator, Blended and Virtual Learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and academic support to students in virtual learning.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new students.
- Assist faculty in managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Monitor student progress and resolve LMS-related challenges.
- Ensure adherence to university e-learning policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience in online student support.
- Proficiency in LMS platforms and EdTech tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Security Officer (KeMU/ADM/SEC/3/3/2025)
Location: Main Campus
Reporting to: Chief Security Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct campus security patrols and monitor CCTV systems.
- Respond to security incidents and enforce university policies.
- Assist in emergency preparedness and incident investigations.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminology or Security Science.
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in security management, with three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- Certification in Investigation and Emergency Preparedness.
- Clearance from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
- Proficiency in security systems and technology.
4. Senior Lecturer – Medical Laboratory Science (KeMU/ASA/MLS/1/3/2025)
Location: Main Campus
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and evaluate undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects.
- Publish academic papers and attend conferences.
- Participate in curriculum development and university committees.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Science (Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, etc.).
- Minimum three (3) years of university teaching experience at the Lecturer level.
- At least four (4) publications in refereed journals.
- Membership in a recognized professional body.
5. Lecturer – Medicine & Surgery (KeMU/ASA/BMBS/3/3/2025)
Location: Main Campus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct lectures and practical sessions for medical students.
- Supervise student research projects.
- Develop and review medical curricula.
- Engage in medical research and scholarly activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
- Master of Medicine in relevant specialization (Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, etc.).
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Teaching experience in a medical school is an added advantage.
