About the Role
As a Finance Trainee, you will gain practical experience across key financial functions, including accounting, tax, and treasury. This structured program is designed to equip you with a well-rounded foundation in financial management and prepare you for a successful career in finance.
Your initial responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of financial transactions to support our East Africa operations while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. As you progress, you will rotate through different areas such as:
- Accounts Payable
- Petty Cash
- Treasury
- Tax
- Payroll
This hands-on experience will help you develop into a strong finance professional capable of handling complex financial tasks in a corporate environment.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or CPA/ACCA certification.
- 0-1 years of professional experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an added advantage.
- Audit firm experience is a plus.
- Positive attitude – Open to learning, adaptable, and flexible.
- Resilience – Ability to work under pressure and handle challenges effectively.
- Growth mindset – Continuously seeks improvement in skills and performance.
- Proven excellence – Demonstrated success in any field.
- Strong communication skills in both Swahili and English (written and spoken).
Assessment Exercise

- Company XYZ engaged a law firm for an assignment for KES 200,000. Please provide journal entries for: a) Posting the initial bill in the books b) Payment of the journal
