Growthpad, a leading tech & digital media consulting firm, is offering a 7-month paid internship in business development with the opportunity for renewal into a full-time role.
As a Business Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in identifying potential clients, developing new business opportunities, and contributing to the company’s growth. This internship provides hands-on experience in sales, client relationship management, and strategic business expansion. We seek candidates who are outgoing, quick learners, organized, and passionate about business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain knowledge of different aspects of the sales cycle and various business development techniques.
- Identify and develop a sales pipeline while aggressively marketing to new customers from specified target sectors.
- Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities.
- Conduct cold calling and cold emailing to potential clients.
- Provide competitive quotations to intermediaries and follow up to close sales.
- Set and achieve targeted goals and objectives for business development and sales.
- Prepare timely status reports on client meetings and sales strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Business Administration, or any other related field from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in computer applications including G-Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and Outlook.
- Certifications in customer service or related fields will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of customer communication platforms.
- Strong interest in technology, communication, digital media, and related fields.
- Knowledge of research methodologies and business intelligence tools.
