The County Government of Kisii, through the County Public Service Board Selection Panel, is inviting applications from suitably qualified, result-oriented, and motivated Kenyan citizens for the appointment to the following key positions. This recruitment is carried out in line with the provisions of Section 58A of the County Governments Act, Revised Edition [2020] 2012.
Available Positions
1. Chairperson – Kisii County Public Service Board

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Chair meetings of the Board.
- Guide the Board in exercising disciplinary control over and removing persons holding or acting in offices within the County Public Service Board.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the County Assembly regarding the execution of the Board’s functions.
- Promote the County Public Service values and principles as enshrined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.
- Advise the County Government on human resource management and development.
- Provide recommendations to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission on remuneration, pensions, and gratuities for county public service employees.
- Advise the County Government on implementing and monitoring the national performance management system at the county level.

2. Secretary – County Public Service Board

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Accounting and Authorized Officer of the Board.
- Oversee all secretariat operations within the Board.
- Plan and budget for the Board’s activities.
- Maintain custody of all records, assets, and minutes of the Board.
- Communicate Board decisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare both periodic and ad hoc reports for submission to the County Assembly on the execution of Board functions.
- Organize the Board’s meetings, including preparing the agenda in consultation with the Chairperson and recording meeting minutes.
- Initiate programs and activities for staff performance and reward management.
- Prepare and submit programs and strategies necessary for achieving the Board’s mandate.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Board.
