1. Program Administrator

Job Summary:
The Program Administrator will be responsible for the smooth operation of academic programs by coordinating administrative functions and offering support to faculty and students. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with institutional policies, managing program logistics, and enhancing the student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the administrative and operational functions of assigned academic programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty and students regarding program-related queries.
  • Maintain academic records, schedules, course documentation, and ensure timely communication of relevant information.
  • Organize program meetings, compile minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in program evaluation and accreditation processes.
  • Ensure adherence to university academic and administrative policies.

2. Adjunct Faculty – Organic Chemistry & Physical and Analytical Chemistry

Job Summary:
USIU-Africa invites applications from qualified individuals to teach Organic Chemistry and Physical & Analytical Chemistry courses on a part-time basis. The position requires subject matter expertise and the ability to engage students in theoretical and practical learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures and laboratory sessions in Organic Chemistry, and Physical and Analytical Chemistry.
  • Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
  • Evaluate student performance and submit grades timely.
  • Engage in continuous curriculum review and instructional improvement.
  • Maintain academic integrity and uphold the university’s teaching standards.

3. Laboratory Technologist – Human Physiology (Fixed Term)

Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technologist will support the Human Physiology laboratory’s teaching and research activities by managing laboratory resources and facilitating student experiments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare equipment and materials for Human Physiology practical classes.
  • Support faculty in delivering laboratory-based instructions.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in the lab.
  • Monitor student usage of laboratory facilities and provide technical assistance during sessions.
  • Manage inventory and requisition of laboratory supplies and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and ensure the cleanliness of workspaces.

4. Innovation and Incubation Lead

Job Summary:
The Innovation and Incubation Lead will oversee programs and initiatives designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and the incubation of new ideas within the university ecosystem. The role requires strategic planning, partnership development, and hands-on mentoring to help student and faculty innovators thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovation and incubation strategies aligned with institutional goals.
  • Facilitate incubation programs, including business modeling, product development, and funding acquisition.
  • Identify and support student and faculty-led innovative projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, industry partners, and funding bodies.
  • Organize innovation boot camps, hackathons, and workshops.
  • Monitor the progress of incubated ventures and report on outcomes.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to embed innovation into the curriculum.

5. Business Development Trainer

Job Summary:
The Business Development Trainer will provide training and mentorship in business development, targeting students, startups, and small enterprises affiliated with the university. The role is aimed at equipping beneficiaries with practical skills in entrepreneurship and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training modules on entrepreneurship, marketing, financial planning, and business strategy.
  • Support startups and small businesses in developing viable business models and growth plans.
  • Conduct needs assessments to tailor training programs to participant requirements.
  • Mentor entrepreneurs on market access, pitching, and investor engagement.
