The Ministry of Health (MoH) is the Government body whose key mandate is to build a progressive, responsive and sustainable healthcare system for accelerated attainment of the highest standard of health to all Kenyans as enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010.


The Ministry is undertaking an elaborate process to digitize its health ecosystem; a key enabler towards
realization of Universal Health Coverage; through the Digital Health Agency (DHA), a body established under Part II of the Digital Health Act of 2023; with the mandate to develop, operationalize and maintain a secure, compressive and integrated health system through management of the core digital health systems and infrastructure.


The State Department for Medical Services has entered into an agreement with Safaricom Consortium for
Provision of Healthcare Information Technology Digitalization for Universal Healthcare Project and has set up a Project management Office to oversee implementation of the project.


The project seeks to recruit qualified and competent persons to fill vacant positions in the Project Management Office on a two-year contract (renewable) as shown below

1. Office Assistants

  • Perform routine office cleaning duties.
  • Assist in preparation and serving of tea and refreshments.
  • Distribute files and correspondence internally.
  • Maintain office equipment and monitor supplies.
  • Run errands and deliver documentation between departments.

2. Office Administrators

  • Manage front office and administrative functions.
  • Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
  • Maintain records and filing systems.
  • Draft correspondence and manage communication flow.
  • Coordinate travel and logistical arrangements.

3. Drivers

  • Operate Ministry vehicles as assigned.
  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
  • Maintain vehicle logs and fuel records.
  • Observe all traffic regulations.
  • Support logistical movement of personnel and materials.

4. Accounts Assistant

  • Support financial documentation and processing.
  • Assist in preparation of reports and reconciliations.
  • Handle petty cash and support procurement payments.
  • Monitor expenses and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide clerical support to the finance unit.

5. Accountant

  • Manage accounting records and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Prepare financial statements and monitor budget performance.
  • Oversee ledger management, payroll, and disbursements.
  • Support audits and financial reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to financial procedures.

6. Finance Officer

  • Oversee financial planning and management of the project.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets.

  • Ensure proper utilization of funds.
  • Coordinate with auditors and funding partners.

7. Human Resource and Administration Officer

  • Handle recruitment, orientation, and HR records management.
  • Administer employee benefits and welfare.
  • Manage performance appraisal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor laws.
  • Oversee general administrative services.

8. Supplies and Logistics Officer

  • Coordinate procurement and inventory systems.
  • Manage vendor sourcing and contract execution.
  • Monitor supply chain processes and logistics.
  • Maintain asset registers and stock records.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

9. Health Informatics Officer

  • Design and manage digital health systems.
  • Analyze health data for reporting and planning.
  • Train health personnel on data tools and systems.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms.

10. Assistant Engineer

  • Support installation and testing of technical systems.
  • Assist in system maintenance and documentation.
