Our Human Resource (HR) recruitment follows the process below for all positions:
- A job advertisement is placed.
- Shortlisting is conducted by a panel, and successful candidates are invited for an interview through official icipe communication channels.
- Those successful after the interview receive an offer letter and sign a contract upon joining icipe.

Preamble
icipe seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Fellow under the SYMBIOVECTOR (SMBV) Project. The position is tenable at icipe Thomas Odhiambo Campus, Mbita. A competitive compensation package will be offered to the right candidate. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The position is tenable in Mbita at the icipe Thomas Odhiambo Campus (ITOC) and will be offered for an initial contract of 2 years, renewable subject to continued funding and performance of the staff member. A competitive and generous compensation package will be offered to the right candidate for the position. Furthermore, the incumbent will receive paid annual vacation, return airfare for themselves and their dependents to their nominated home base each year, and duty-free privileges. If the successful candidate is appointed from outside Kenya, he or she will be offered support to relocate to the country and settle in Mbita.
