1. Clinical Pharmacist
Reports To: Medical Director

Job Purpose:
The Clinical Pharmacist will oversee the pharmacy services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care aligned with hospital protocols and professional regulatory standards. The role includes leadership in clinical practice, pharmaceutical safety, and interdisciplinary healthcare collaboration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with legal and professional pharmacy practice standards
- Dispense prescriptions for both inpatients and outpatients
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary patient care teams
- Conduct drug utilization reviews and pharmacovigilance
- Advise Antibiotic Stewardship, Therapeutics, and Infection Control Committees
- Check all treatment sheets and prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Monitor drug therapies and make clinical interventions
- Report and analyze medication errors and adverse drug reactions
- Submit required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Conduct medication adherence counseling, especially for chronic cases
- Support institutional compliance with antibiotic usage guidelines
- Perform medication reconciliation on admission and discharge
- Supervise sterile compounding, chemotherapy reconstitution, and preparation
- Educate patients and staff on medication use and safety
- Organize continuous professional development for pharmacy personnel
- Undertake any other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya
- MBA is an added advantage
- At least 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a busy hospital

2. Radiographer
Reports To: Resident Radiologist

Job Purpose:
The Radiographer will provide high-quality, safe, and efficient diagnostic imaging services, contributing to accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans. The role demands excellent technical precision and patient-centered care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform x-rays, CT scans, portable and theatre radiography independently
- Conduct and report diagnostic ultrasound procedures
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols and local rules
- Interpret complex diagnostic imaging data and identify abnormalities
- Adapt scanning techniques based on patient needs
- Handle emotionally sensitive situations with empathy and care
- Assist patients physically and ensure comfort during procedures
- Understand and apply safety and emergency protocols for imaging areas
- Operate imaging equipment with care, ensuring image quality
- Offer guidance to patients and caregivers regarding imaging procedures
- Report equipment malfunctions and liaise with service providers
- Adjust schedules in response to equipment downtime or emergencies
- Participate in equipment evaluations and procurement processes
- Maintain competence across imaging modalities including CT and ultrasound
- Ensure compliance with ionizing radiation protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and safe handling of bodily fluids
- Utilize hospital resources efficiently and minimize wastage
- Handle specialized imaging tools and manage consumables
- Obtain informed consent before imaging procedures
- Communicate results to patients with clarity and compassion
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists as needed
- Collaborate with other hospital units to maintain service standards
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
- Diploma in Radiography (Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Science)
- Higher Diploma in Ultrasound is an added advantage
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting
- Certifications in CT, MRI, or Ultrasound are desirable
