1. Credit Officer
Location: Nakuru
Deadline: Thursday, 17th April 2025
Job Purpose
The Credit Officer will be responsible for ensuring the timely processing, appraisal, and disbursement of loan facilities, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with SACCO credit policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process loan applications efficiently and in accordance with the service level agreements
- Serve loan clients effectively by providing product information and eligibility guidance
- Appraise loans, ensuring the completeness of documentation and accurate data entry
- Post loan applications into the SACCO’s management system
- Recommend eligible loans to the Credit Manager for approval
- Ensure all loans are well secured and verify the perfection of collateral before disbursement
- Actively market and cross-sell SACCO products and services to members
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the management

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Credit Management/Co-operative Management
- CPA Part 2 or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially accounting software
- Knowledge of SACCO software systems is an added advantage
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position
2. Recovery Officer
Location: Nakuru
Deadline: Thursday, 17th April 2025
Job Purpose
The Recovery Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the SACCO’s loan recovery function to minimize portfolio at risk (PAR) and enforce recovery strategies in line with legal frameworks and internal policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the society’s PAR, maintaining it at or below 5%
- Approve loan recovery schedules and follow up with clients
- Handle insurance claims on loans involving deceased members
- Maintain and update the security register for pledged collateral
- Ensure physical security documents are well maintained under dual custody
- Review collateral documentation and ensure perfection prior to loan disbursement
- Take legal action on defaulters as appropriate
- Visit clients with loans overdue for more than 3 months
- Recover securities where default persists and notify guarantors accordingly
- Generate loan performance and recovery reports for submission to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Actively promote SACCO products and services
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management

- Additional qualifications in Law (LLB), Co-operative Management, or Credit Management are advantageous
- Computer literacy with experience in loan recovery software
- Working knowledge of SACCO loan products and credit systems
- At least two (2) years of experience in a similar or related position
3. Human Resource Officer
Location: Nakuru
Deadline: Thursday, 17th April 2025
Job Purpose
The Human Resource Officer will lead the SACCO’s HR operations, ensuring effective talent management, compliance with employment laws, and the development of a positive and productive organizational culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process for all SACCO vacancies
- Serve as a contact person for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace engagement
- Administer performance appraisals and track employee evaluations
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and maintain accurate employee records
- Identify training needs and implement staff development programs
- Evaluate and update HR policies and procedures to align with the Employment Act, 2007
- Administer employee benefits including insurance, leave management, and succession planning
- Provide guidance to staff on HR policy matters and facilitate policy reviews
- Promote inclusivity and a respectful workplace environment
