1. ILRI Internship – Environmental Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description: The EOHS Internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental and occupational health and safety. The intern will support the EOHS team in implementing safety protocols, carrying out routine safety audits, assisting in health and safety training sessions, and contributing to continuous improvement in ILRI’s health and safety systems. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making workplaces safer and more sustainable.
2. Research Associate III – Environmental Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description: The Research Associate III – EOHS will be responsible for leading and coordinating technical EOHS-related research and compliance initiatives. This includes developing, reviewing, and updating EOHS policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with national and international safety standards. The role also involves training staff on safety measures and working closely with program teams to embed safety into research activities.
3. Research Compliance Manager – EOHS & Management Systems
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description: The Research Compliance Manager will oversee the implementation and monitoring of EOHS and broader management systems to ensure research compliance across ILRI operations. This position entails developing compliance frameworks, conducting internal audits, liaising with regulatory authorities, and managing certifications such as ISO standards. The Manager will also be responsible for aligning ILRI’s practices with global research compliance and EOHS regulations.
4. Senior Resource Mobilization Specialist – IFPRI
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description: The Senior Resource Mobilization Specialist at IFPRI will lead the development and execution of strategies to secure funding for research programs. Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating donor relationships, preparing high-quality proposals, coordinating with research teams to align funding strategies with institutional goals, and tracking funding trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in donor engagement, resource mobilization planning, and proposal writing.
5. ILRI Consultancy – Livestock Systems Climate Finance Study / LiveSys Project
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description: The consultant will contribute to the Livestock Climate Environment Program by conducting a detailed study on climate finance mechanisms related to livestock systems. Responsibilities include mapping existing climate finance flows, analyzing funding gaps and opportunities, and recommending strategies for improving access to climate finance in the livestock sector. The consultant will work closely with the LiveSys project team to ensure alignment with project goals and international climate finance frameworks.
6. Research Officer I – People, Policies and Institutions Program
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description: The Research Officer I will support the People, Policies, and Institutions program by conducting qualitative and quantitative research on topics related to agricultural policy, rural development, and institutional change. Key tasks include data collection and analysis, literature reviews, stakeholder engagement, and contributing to policy briefs and academic publications. This position is suited for candidates with strong analytical and communication skills who are keen to influence policy through evidence-based research.
