Job Description
The HBB Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Lead, HBB, and will be entrusted with the execution and management of strategic 5G and FWA sales plans within an assigned regional cluster. This includes guiding a dedicated team of sales professionals to ensure the achievement of device acquisition targets, customer satisfaction, and adherence to operational standards. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between Airtel and its customers, while also analyzing market dynamics to stay ahead of the competition.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Execution & Management
Oversee and manage direct sales operations for 5G and FWA devices within the designated cluster. Ensure recharge availability for all 5G and FWA products. - Strategic Sales Planning
Design and implement actionable sales strategies aimed at increasing gross device additions and enhancing distribution of 5G HBB and FWA services. - Customer Service & Compliance
Monitor and ensure adherence to customer installation timelines and sales process compliance. Manage recovery of devices from non-compliant users to minimize losses. - Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Line Manager and other internal stakeholders to set sales targets and align sales strategies with the organization’s broader objectives. - Customer Relationship Management
Resolve customer issues effectively by liaising with relevant departments. Conduct prospecting activities through the sales team and personal engagements. - Needs Assessment & Solution Delivery
Engage with potential clients to identify their internet needs, recommend suitable products, and communicate feedback to product development teams. - Execution & Reporting
Roll out sales plans with accuracy from the onset and maintain rigorous oversight of device acquisition health, compliance rates, and activation statuses. - Team Leadership & Motivation
Lead a team of sales professionals, driving performance to achieve and exceed sales targets. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Qualifications Required
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.
- Between 5 to 8 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in:
- Telecommunications
- Device sales
- Corporate sales
- Satellite TV services or similar industries.
- Minimum of 3 years in a team leadership or management role.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- The local and regional competition landscape
- Market size
- Regulatory environment
- Devices and technologies in use, particularly 5G and Fixed Wireless Access.
- Strong technical acumen with a keen interest in modern connectivity solutions.
- Demonstrated resilience and a proven track record of delivering against ambitious sales targets.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional team management and people skills.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and managing daily sales operations, including route plans and performance tracking.
