1. Branch Manager – Bomet
Location: Bomet
Purpose:
The Branch Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing the company’s visibility in the Rift Valley region, and ensuring efficient resource utilization while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with intermediaries, including brokers, banks, and independent agents, to achieve targeted premium outputs across all subsidiaries
- Provide leadership and support to staff and the sales and marketing team by implementing corporate strategies through training and motivation.
- Develop and operationalize Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with intermediaries to ensure differentiated service delivery and promptly address customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Support daily branch operations, including sales processing, policy issuance, and claims handling.
- Follow up on renewals to achieve acceptable retention ratios.
- Champion cross-selling initiatives for corporate and retail business and support the opening of new markets and distribution channels.
- Identify and facilitate branch staff resourcing requirements, including recruitment, appraisal, career development, succession, and resource planning, in liaison with the People and Culture department.
- Coordinate all intermediary activities and monitor market intelligence to identify potential for business acquisition and strategic planning.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team and grow the intermediary portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Carry out performance appraisals, coaching, and mentoring of staff.
- Participate in planning and budgeting for the department.
2. Accounts Assistant – Medical
Location: Nairobi
Purpose:
The Accounts Assistant will support the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring the company’s finances are accurately recorded and reported.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices, departmental billings, employee reimbursements, cash receipts, vendor statements, and journal vouchers.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Reconcile bank statements by comparing statements with the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures and complying with financial legal requirements.
- Assist with audits, fact-checking, and resolving discrepancies.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
3. Senior Process Automation Engineer
Location: Nairobi
Purpose:
Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, the Senior Process Automation Engineer will drive the company’s digitization agenda by developing and implementing intelligent automation solutions, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on automation projects.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable full-stack solutions for automation and digitization projects.
- Implement and manage intelligent automation using tools such as UiPath for Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
- Develop and maintain portals using technologies like React, Java Spring Boot, and Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Coordinate and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to understand and create end-to-end process flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure the security and integrity of automation solutions by implementing best practices in software development and data protection.
4. Bancassurance Sales Officers – Retail Sales
Location: Various Branches Countrywide
Purpose:
The Bancassurance Sales Officers will be responsible for selling and growing retail life assurance products through the assigned bank channels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate new retail life business from the banking sector.
- Service existing retail life bank clients by providing timely and accurate information and support.
- Educate new and existing clients on retail life products, ensuring they understand the benefits and features.
- Attend to customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure timely service delivery to clients.
- Provide timely and accurate quotations within the established turnaround times.
- Gather market intelligence to ensure the product range remains updated and competitive.
- Follow up to ensure persistency is at an acceptable rate.
- Promote the CIC brand through various marketing and customer engagement initiatives.
5. Sales Officers – Retail Life (Alternative Channels)
Location: Various Branches Countrywide
Purpose:
The Sales Officers will be responsible for generating new retail life business from allocated markets and channels, focusing on alternative distribution channels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate new retail life business from the allocated market or channel.
- Educate new and existing clients on retail life products, ensuring they are well-informed about the offerings.
- Attend to customer queries and complaints, providing solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure timely service delivery to clients.
- Provide timely and accurate quotations within the established turnaround times.
