Finance, HR & Administration Officer – Kenya (Kitale)

Position Summary:
Vi Agroforestry is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance, HR & Administration Officer to join its team in Kitale. This pivotal role involves overseeing financial processes, supporting human resource functions, and managing office administration in compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to creating an efficient and compliant working environment that supports the achievement of Vi Agroforestry’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records.
- Oversee payroll management, including statutory deductions and staff benefits.
- Support internal and external financial audits and ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
- Monitor budget utilization and prepare regular financial reports for internal and donor use.
Human Resources:
- Manage staff records, including leave tracking, contract management, and personnel files.
- Coordinate staff welfare initiatives and support performance appraisal processes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational HR policies.
- Provide administrative support during recruitment processes.
Administration:
- Coordinate travel logistics and accommodation arrangements for staff and guests.
- Ensure the timely procurement of office supplies and services.
- Oversee office and asset maintenance, including vehicles and equipment.
- Manage the filing system and maintain confidential administrative records.
