Kenya National Bureau of Statistics invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals with excellent credentials to be considered in the Data Base for the following position:
Statistical Assistants
Key Responsibilities
i. Attending all the training sessions whenever called upon to enable acquisition of skills required for data collection;
ii. Locating sampled/targeted households/facilities/business enterprises with the assistance of the Supervisor to collect the required information;
iii. Conducting interviews to the respondents and completing the questionnaire(s);
iv. Interviewing and capturing interview responses using a computer-aided personal interview (CAPI);
v. Uploading data from all completed questionnaires to the KNBS dedicated Server;
vi. Assisting the Supervisor in conducting focused group discussions/key informant interviews;
vii. Undertaking callbacks/re-visits to undertake/finalize postponed interviews;
viii. Maintaining confidentiality of the interviews and the data collected;
ix. Preparing debriefing notes for the Supervisor;
x. Undertaking any other duties lawfully assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum requirements
i. Must be a Kenyan citizen with a National Identity card ;
ii. Should have completed at least secondary level of education, with a minimum grade of C or its equivalent;
iii. Should possess good communication skills;
iv. Should be a team player.
