As a dedicated environmental professional with a strong foundation in environmental science and a robust track record in data-driven project implementation, I am excited to express my interest in the consultancy opportunity with UNEP on the ODS Banks Survey project in Nigeria. With over five years of experience in environmental monitoring, chemical management, and sustainable project delivery, I bring the technical expertise and analytical skills required to support UNEP’s objectives under the Montreal Protocol.
My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, complemented by hands-on experience working on national and regional projects involving ozone-depleting substances (ODS). I have participated in initiatives focused on the collection and inventorying of chemical waste, stakeholder engagement, and developing sustainable strategies for chemical recycling and disposal. I am particularly experienced in designing and executing field surveys, conducting stakeholder consultations, and compiling and analyzing environmental data to support informed decision-making.
Having worked closely with national environmental agencies and regional development partners, I am well-versed in UNEP’s compliance assistance approach and familiar with the institutional frameworks guiding environmental agreements across Africa. My exposure to HFC management and the broader environmental regulatory context positions me to effectively deliver the objectives of this consultancy.
