Job Opportunity: Regional Sales Manager – Western/Nyanza
Location: Eldoret, Kenya
Reports to: National Sales Manager

We are seeking a goal-oriented and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to oversee and grow our presence in the Western region of Kenya. This role is a key leadership position responsible for the productivity and performance of the regional sales team. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and execute strategies that drive sales growth while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust sales strategies tailored to the Western region’s market dynamics to achieve or exceed regional sales targets.
- Supervise and provide leadership to the regional sales team, ensuring continuous improvement in team productivity and performance.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, including distributors and wholesalers, to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify and seize new business opportunities.
- Generate and deliver detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to the National Sales Manager and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to craft and execute effective regional promotional strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Guide the team in resolving client concerns promptly and effectively to uphold brand reputation and customer satisfaction.
- Drive territory coverage plans and route optimization for sales representatives to maximize efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record with over five (5) years in a managerial role as a Regional Sales Manager or similar capacity within the FMCG industry.
- Strong general trade experience, with a solid understanding of regional dynamics and customer behavior in the Western Kenya market.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire sales teams towards meeting and exceeding set targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a persuasive sales approach.
- Competent in analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and drawing actionable insights to drive sales growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
- A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to achieving tangible business results.
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any other relevant field.
