In alignment with the Government’s Youth Initiative to build a robust talent pipeline for the Kenyan Labour Market, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is inviting applications from qualified continuing students for its upcoming May to July 2025 Industrial Attachment Programme.
This three-month industrial attachment is tailored to provide hands-on, practical experience to students pursuing undergraduate and diploma studies. It is structured to support students in fulfilling part of their academic requirements while equipping them with industry-specific knowledge and skills that are crucial for Kenya’s socio-economic development.
The Authority is offering diverse opportunities across multiple disciplines to enrich the learning experience of the young generation while allowing them to explore and contribute to various departments within KRA.
Available Attachment Opportunities and Job Descriptions
KRA’s Industrial Attachment Programme for May to July 2025 intake is open to continuing students in the following disciplines. Each discipline corresponds with specific departments and duties within the Authority as outlined below:
1. Finance, Accounting & Economics
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in financial data entry and reconciliations.
- Participate in budget tracking and financial reporting tasks.
- Support financial audits and internal controls.
2. Statistics, Data Analytics & Mathematics
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting statistical data.
- Assist in data visualization and report generation.
- Engage in research tasks and performance evaluations.
3. Supply Chain Management
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in inventory tracking and procurement procedures.
- Support documentation and compliance of supply chain processes.
- Participate in logistics and distribution activities.
4. Human Resource Management
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment and selection activities.
- Participate in employee welfare and engagement programs.
- Assist in maintaining staff records and HR database.
5. Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies

- Support the development of internal and external communication materials.
- Assist in planning and executing public engagement campaigns.
- Aid in content creation for digital platforms and newsletters.
6. Photography, Videography, Film Production, Animation

- Capture high-quality photos and videos for internal use.
- Edit and produce content aligned with KRA’s communication strategy.
- Work with teams to tell visual stories of KRA operations.

- Support IT infrastructure and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in software installations and system upgrades.

8. Food & Beverage, Hotel Management, Housekeeping & Laundry Management

- Assist in managing hospitality services within KRA facilities.
- Support guest relations and housekeeping operations.

9. Records Management, Archives, Library & Information Science
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in digitization and cataloging of records.
- Participate in document classification and storage.
- Support records retrieval and archival processes.
10. Security & Safety, Security Management, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Forensics
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and enforcing access control.
- Support incident reporting and safety drills.
- Engage in security risk analysis and policy reviews.
11. Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation

- Support administrative duties and office coordination.
- Participate in project planning and progress tracking.

12. Counselling Psychology, Occupational Health, Disaster Management

13. Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in inspections, repair, and maintenance of building systems.
- Support infrastructure design and technical documentation.

14. Land Economics, Property Management, Quantity Survey
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in valuation and property records updates.
- Support facilities management and lease agreements.
- Participate in budget estimation and quantity assessments.
15. Actuarial Science
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support risk assessment and financial modeling.
- Participate in data analysis for insurance and taxation projections.
- Assist in preparing actuarial reports.
16. Transport & Logistics, Fleet Management
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in fleet scheduling and tracking.
- Support vehicle maintenance records.
- Participate in logistics optimization tasks.
17. Law
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Support compliance and enforcement units.
- Attend court sessions and prepare case briefs under supervision.
18. Education
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support training program facilitation.
- Assist in developing learning materials and feedback collection.
- Participate in evaluation of training effectiveness.
19. Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in sample preparation and chemical analysis.
- Support quality control and lab record management.
- Participate in laboratory audits and safety practices.
20. Stenographers
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in transcription of meetings and legal proceedings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records.
- Support document formatting and archiving.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the KRA Industrial Attachment Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Kenyan citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Be a continuing student pursuing a 1st degree (undergraduate) in their 3rd, 4th, or final year of study OR a Diploma student in their final year from a recognized University/College.
- Possess a valid introduction letter from their institution.
- Be available full-time for the entire duration of the attachment (May to July 2025).
Important Notes:

- Monthly Stipend: Kshs. 7,000 (subject to statutory deductions)
- No extensions to the attachment program will be granted.

- KRA does not charge any fee at any stage of the application or recruitment process.
