Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Visual designer and illustrator to join the UX and design team. We are a team of dynamic designers, creatives, researchers, and product managers who look to re-invent banking, financial services, and innovation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
● Design visual components for products and service lines based on established design principles and in accordance with the bank’s strategy, practices, and guidelines.
● Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets
● Create high-quality digital and hand-drawn illustrations, ensuring they align with the product’s design objectives.
● Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes engineers, product managers in order to create simple, easy-to-use software.
● Responsible for the maintenance of the design system.
● Maintain visual consistency across products, adhering to established brand guidelines and design principles.
● Proposing improvements to the current design system that would help benefit the wider team
● Staying in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, trends in visual design field.
Qualifications
KEY COMPETENCIES
● Exceptional knowledge of the design software and digital illustration tools e.g., Figma and Adobe Suite
● The ability to refine other people’s ideas and come up with new ones to create a highly designed visual experience.
● Well organized, responsible and dedicated, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver refined design in a short time.
● Self-learning, able to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast-evolving environment.
REQUIREMENTS
● 5+ years in designing applications for web, desktop and mobile
● Proven experience as an illustrator with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of styles and techniques.
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Arts, Design or Computing-related subject
● Expert level skills in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools
● Body of work demonstrating strong design process, interaction, and visual design skills
● Prior experience in developing a design system will be an added advantage.
