Overview of the Role
The Marketing Manager – Business Functions will play a central role in shaping and executing impactful marketing strategies for KCB’s Personal & Premium Banking, Mortgage, Loyalty & Partnerships, Physical Channels, and Digital Financial Services.
The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders and stakeholders to co-create annual marketing plans, execute data-driven strategies, and ensure the alignment of business initiatives with the KCB Group brand strategy. This includes supporting both local and subsidiary teams across the Group, maintaining brand integrity, and contributing to the overall growth of the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of marketing strategies for Business Functions, ensuring full alignment with KCB Group’s brand strategy and policies.
- Partner with the Head of Marketing to co-develop and implement annual marketing plans that support business goals across various banking segments.
- Collaborate with product owners and business teams to design systems and tools that effectively market financial products and services.
- Support regional teams and subsidiaries in crafting marketing approaches that reflect the corporate brand while being responsive to local market dynamics.
- Ensure all marketing efforts across functions comply with brand usage guidelines and group marketing policies.
- Act as a marketing expert for Group Subsidiaries by providing support in the development of marketing strategies for relevant Business Functions.
- Use market intelligence, analytics, and insights to align marketing activities with business objectives, delivering value-driven outcomes.
- Create metrics and dashboards that evaluate the success of marketing initiatives and their contribution to the bottom line.
- Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure creativity, media planning, and brand positioning meet world-class standards.
- Monitor and manage the marketing budget for Business Functions to ensure cost-efficiency and return on investment.
- Mentor and lead a cross-functional marketing team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a seasoned marketing professional who can bring strategic insight, data-driven thinking, and leadership excellence to the team. The right candidate must demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- A deep understanding of brand strategy, digital trends, and consumer behavior.
- Expertise in developing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience with marketing analytics, product marketing, and agency management.
Required Experience
To be successful in this role, the applicant should have the following professional experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Marketing/Brand Management.
- At least 6 years leading marketing campaigns and teams.
- 6 years in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- 5 years in product development, focusing on financial or service-oriented products.
- 4 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, market research & analytics, communications, and marketing agency management.
- 4 years of experience in budget management.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce – Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in CIM are desired.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration is also desired.
