The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) is seeking a motivated and skilled Intern for Productive Use of Energy (PUE) to join our Africa team in Nairobi. This is an exceptional opportunity to work at the forefront of the clean energy movement, contributing directly to initiatives that promote economic development, energy transition, and environmental sustainability across emerging markets.
About GEAPP
The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) is a coalition of philanthropic foundations (including The Rockefeller Foundation, the IKEA Foundation, and the Bezos Earth Fund), governments, development partners, private sector players, and technology innovators working together to solve the twin challenges of energy poverty and climate change.
GEAPP’s mission is bold and ambitious. By 2030, we aim to:
- Expand clean energy access to 1 billion people.
- Enable 150 million new green jobs.
- Prevent up to 4 gigatons of carbon emissions.
Our approach is rooted in the belief that clean energy is development. Without it, progress in education, healthcare, livelihoods, and poverty alleviation is severely undermined. That’s why we’re building a powerful global movement to usher in a new era of inclusive green economic growth.
