1. Finance Manager

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that support the Sacco’s long-term goals.

The role ensures the delivery of competitive and compliant insurance products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in the Sacco’s insurance business.
  • Lead product development and pricing strategies to ensure relevance and competitiveness in the market.
  • Supervise underwriting, claims handling, reinsurance arrangements, and policy administration.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including filing and licensing obligations.

  • Analyze insurance trends, performance, and risk exposure to inform business decisions.

3. Relationship Officers

Job Description:

Relationship Officers are pivotal to member engagement and service delivery. These officers also play a critical role in driving membership growth, product uptake, and retention strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective members.

  • Handle member queries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.

4. Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Description:

The Risk and Compliance Officer ensures that the Sacco operates within legal and regulatory frameworks and implements sound risk management practices. This role supports the Sacco’s governance structures and business sustainability by identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational, financial, and compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management policies, frameworks, and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments across departments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with internal policies, SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) regulations, and other relevant laws.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for management action.
  • Investigate breaches, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.
  • Work with department heads to promote a risk-aware culture and train staff on risk and compliance matters.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and assess their impact on Sacco operations.
