Job Purpose
The Senior Marketing and Budget Analyst will play a vital role in the planning, analysis, and optimization of global marketing and fundraising efforts. The primary focus is to lead the reporting and analysis of global marketing and communications (GMC) budgets and performance metrics that are essential in driving the revenue World Vision needs to fulfill its global strategy, Our Promise.
This position involves working with a budget of over $15 million, supporting more than 100 staff, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making and agile resource allocation. The Analyst will serve as a key link between data and action—ensuring leadership has the clarity and insight to invest effectively in projects that support children and communities across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
1. Budget Planning and Forecasting
- Facilitate and support the annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasting processes for Global Marketing and Communications.
- Design and implement improved budgeting processes that provide clear visibility and structure for all budget owners.
- Ensure that all spending aligns with strategic priorities and revenue-generating goals.
2. Reporting and Expenditure Analysis
- Consolidate and analyze operating and strategic expenditures versus budget to provide accurate financial reports.
- Lead the evaluation of the performance and ROI of global strategic marketing initiatives.
- Develop process and technology solutions to reduce manual reporting and enhance automation and data accuracy.
3. Budget Owner Support and Enablement
- Train and equip budget owners to understand their financial responsibilities and support them in reallocating funds effectively throughout the fiscal year.
- Act as a resource for finance-related queries and ensure compliance with internal policies and best practices.
4. Marketing Channel and Product Performance Analytics
- Conduct ongoing reporting and performance analysis of marketing products, lead generation strategies, and channel mix optimization.
- Work closely with stakeholders to interpret insights, recommend improvements, and support revenue growth strategies.
5. Market and Peer Analysis
- Analyze industry trends, peer activities, and global fundraising environments to inform leadership decisions.
- Generate competitive insights that help World Vision improve its positioning and strategic initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing analytics and budget management
- Experience working with large datasets, data consolidation, and warehousing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for analytics and reporting
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and actionable manner
- Capability to navigate cross-cultural environments and influence change across diverse teams
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to adapt in fast-paced and evolving contexts
Compensation
For roles based in the United States, the salary range for the Senior Marketing and Budget Analyst position is $71,800 to $95,750 USD annually, prorated for the fixed-term contract (ending in December 2025).
Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s location, qualifications, and relevant experience.
