About the Role: IT Business Analyst, Africa
Reports to: Head of D&T for EABL, South Africa, and Russia
Department: Digital & Technology
As an IT Business Analyst, you will work closely with regional Heads of D&T and global teams to unlock business value by aligning technology investments with strategic goals. You’ll be responsible for business analysis, capability assessment, project support, and the design of forward-thinking solutions across multiple African markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Business Analysis
- Assess current (“As Is”) business capability maturity and map key processes.
- Define future (“To Be”) business capability models to meet Diageo’s strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and bring external insights to the business.
- Support application rationalization and contribute to the development of business cases.
- Help identify the business impact of system and process transformations.
2. Business Engagement & Value Realization
- Build trusted relationships with market stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Collaborate with local teams to find tech solutions that align with strategic needs.
- Ensure the effective adoption and optimization of D&T investments in your markets.
3. Strategy & Execution
- Participate in strategic planning and translate business needs into tech initiatives.
- Work with value stream teams to ensure timely and aligned delivery of tech roadmaps.
- Bridge between business requirements and technology execution.
4. Benefits Realization & Adoption
- Facilitate smooth transitions during implementation of new systems.
- Assist in change management activities to enhance technology adoption.
- Track success metrics and recommend improvements where necessary.
5. Service Operations & Employee Experience
- Stay informed about service and maintenance activities across operational tech.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Contribute to regional performance management efforts and reporting.
Market & Financial Scope
- Market Complexity: The role spans across several African markets and involves close collaboration with global teams. You’ll be part of multiple project portfolios with broad functional, process, and system impact.
- Financial Complexity: You will contribute to multi-million-dollar strategic investments across systems and resources in the African region.
Ideal Candidate Experience and Skills
