About the Opportunity: Senior Human Resource Manager
Location: Nairobi Headquarters, with 25% travel to VF sites

As the Senior Human Resource Manager, you will be a key strategic leader, spearheading the development and execution of human resource initiatives aligned with organizational goals. You will manage all HR functions, champion employee relations, and foster a high-performing, inclusive work culture.
The role demands a seasoned HR professional with strong analytical capabilities, a data-driven approach, and a track record of operational excellence.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and cultivate a high-performance culture.
- Ensure organizational compliance with Kenyan employment and labour laws.
- Align HR policies and practices with Victory Farms’ mission, vision, and values.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and training and development.
- Manage end-to-end processes for permanent, casual, and contract staff.
- Drive operational efficiency through the design and optimization of HR processes.
Workforce Management
- Balance the unique needs of a diverse workforce, ensuring fair, consistent, and equitable treatment.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and career growth.
Policy Enforcement
- Uphold the highest standards of HR practice by strictly enforcing internal policies and employment regulations.
- Manage casual hiring procedures, ensuring compliance and operational transparency.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Utilize HR analytics and metrics to inform and support strategic HR decisions.
- Monitor key HR indicators to measure performance, predict trends, and implement improvements.
Culture Building
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Promote employee engagement initiatives that reflect Victory Farms’ core values.
Systems Management
- Oversee the implementation, operation, and maintenance of HR systems and databases.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and HR information management.
Health Insurance Management
- Administer staff health policies and oversee medical insurance contracts.
- Manage statutory health obligations and liaise with insurance providers.
Legal Compliance
- Ensure all HR operations strictly adhere to the Data Protection Act and other relevant labour regulations.
- Collaborate with the Legal Team on employee disciplinary matters and compliance reviews.
HR Audit and Risk Management
- Support and prepare for regular HR and administration audits.
- Actively participate in safeguarding and risk management committees.
Employee Communication
- Serve as a key contact for employee grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution.
- Develop effective channels for employee communication and feedback.
Compensation Management
- Participate in compensation reviews and market benchmarking exercises.
- Drive internal pay equity and advise management on compensation strategies.
Learning and Development
- Coordinate and manage learning and development initiatives across the company.
- Advise and coach line managers on people management best practices.
- Develop career progression and succession planning programs.
Skills and Experience Needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is an added advantage.
- CHRP-K certification or a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.
- A minimum of 10 years’ progressively responsible HR experience, with at least 5 years in senior management.
- Active membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya.
- Strong experience managing HR for large, multi-cultural teams.
- Proven expertise in core HR functions, including recruitment, talent management, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and compliance.
- Exceptional ability to enforce policies and maintain high standards of professional HR practice.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and strong data analysis skills.
