Are you passionate about fieldwork and skilled in growing product visibility and availability in the trade? Highlands Drinks Limited is looking for a Trade Executor to join our Sales Team in Nairobi.
This role is ideal for someone with field sales experience and a deep understanding of product placement, stock management, and customer engagement. As a Trade Executor, you will be instrumental in increasing our product market share in the competitive beverage landscape.
Purpose of the Role
The Trade Executor plays a crucial role in driving the growth of our product portfolio in assigned outlets. You will ensure that Highlands Drinks are always available, visible, and sold at the correct prices—while maintaining quality merchandising standards across the board.
Key Responsibilities
As a Trade Executor, you will be expected to:
Sales Growth & Order Management
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to generate and facilitate product orders, directly contributing to sales revenue growth.
- Work closely with assigned outlets to ensure consistent availability of products, avoiding stock-outs.
Merchandising & Stock Handling
- Ensure that Highlands Drinks products are:
- Clean
- Well displayed
- Positioned in high-traffic areas
- Sold at the correct, recommended retail prices
- Enforce First-In-First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation principles to avoid short expiries or expired products in the trade.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of product shelf life and report any near-expiry products.
Product Placement & Range Expansion
- List all available products in outlets according to customer size and outlet potential.
- Proactively increase the variety of Highlands products in the outlets you handle by introducing and pushing new SKUs.
Market Intelligence
- Conduct regular assessments of company product market share compared to competitor products within your coverage area.
- Perform price comparisons and provide strategic insights on market positioning.
Customer Feedback & Satisfaction
- Gather and report customer feedback, including complaints and suggestions.
- Follow up on issues raised to ensure they are resolved promptly, thereby ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
Reporting & Documentation
- Submit accurate and timely reports as required by the Sales Manager or team lead.
- Provide regular updates on product performance, stock movement, and competitor activities in your area.
Agent Recruitment & Training
- Identify, recruit, and train sales agents or product promoters on new products entering the market.
- Ensure agents understand the features and selling points of each product in the portfolio.
Minimum Requirements
