Job Overview
The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical maintenance and repair of critical machinery and systems, particularly those involving hydraulic pumps and compressors. The successful candidate will lead a team of technicians, coordinate daily maintenance activities, and ensure the consistent operation of heavy-duty construction and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Supervisor, your core duties will include:
- Supervising Mechanical Operations
Oversee the daily maintenance and repair operations of all mechanical systems, especially hydraulic pumps and compressors. - Managing Heavy Equipment Maintenance
Lead servicing, inspection, and repairs for a range of heavy machinery, including:- Backhoes
- Wheel Loaders
- Rollers
- Generators
- Light Vehicles
- Canters
- Other industrial machinery as required
- Team Leadership and Task Allocation
Plan, schedule, and assign tasks to mechanical technicians, contractors, and other support staff.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching to enhance technical skills and productivity. - Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
Develop and enforce a robust preventive and predictive maintenance schedule to extend machinery lifespan and minimize equipment downtime. - Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
Quickly identify and resolve mechanical issues, reduce operational delays, and apply innovative solutions to improve equipment reliability. - Inventory and Spare Parts Management
Manage inventory levels, procurement, and usage of mechanical tools, spare parts, and consumables to ensure maintenance continuity. - Maintenance Records and Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including fault reports, service schedules, and equipment performance logs. - Safety and Compliance
Enforce strict adherence to occupational safety regulations, internal company policies, and applicable industry standards. Ensure the correct use of PPE and safe handling of mechanical components and tools. - Cross-Department Coordination
Collaborate with other departments such as Production, Safety, and Engineering to support operational goals and equipment availability. - Staff Training and Development
Provide ongoing training and mentorship to maintenance staff, ensuring a high level of technical competency across the team.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mechanical systems, hands-on knowledge of industrial machinery, and demonstrated leadership in a similar supervisory role.
Essential Skills:

Work Environment and Conditions
