- Programme Policy Officer – Agribusiness & Reporting (JR112178)
As a Programme Policy Officer focused on Agribusiness and Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the implementation of smallholder market support and value chain initiatives within WFP’s broader food systems strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop agribusiness strategies and implementation plans aligned with WFP’s corporate and country-level priorities, particularly around food systems transformation.
- Provide technical guidance and support in designing, implementing, and scaling up agribusiness and value chain development projects targeting smallholder farmers and agribusinesses.
- Strengthen public-private sector collaboration to foster inclusive and sustainable agribusiness models.

In this role, you will drive the design and execution of climate resilience and adaptation initiatives, helping vulnerable communities build capacity to withstand climate shocks and stresses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization and design of climate resilience programmes aligned with WFP’s Country Strategic Plan and climate policy frameworks.
- Provide expert advice on climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, and risk-informed programming across WFP-supported interventions.
- Support the integration of climate risk assessments and environmental considerations into programme design, planning, and implementation.
- Facilitate the coordination of climate-related activities with internal and external stakeholders, including government, NGOs, academia, and private sector actors.

The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for supporting the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of food and non-food items in WFP warehouses in accordance with WFP standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and overseeing warehouse operations, including inventory control, stock movement, and order dispatch.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all warehouse transactions in compliance with WFP logistics protocols.
- Monitor the condition of storage facilities and the safety and security of stored commodities, recommending actions for improvements as needed.
- Support the implementation of quality control procedures to ensure that stored items meet safety and quality standards.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff and labourers in standard operating procedures, safety measures, and performance expectations.

This role involves leading and supporting the implementation of integrated climate risk insurance solutions for vulnerable populations exposed to climatic hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement climate risk insurance schemes as part of broader resilience-building programmes.
- Engage with insurance providers, government agencies, and community-based organizations to develop tailored insurance products.
- Coordinate the rollout of risk transfer mechanisms, including weather-indexed insurance, and link these with early warning and anticipatory action systems.
- Conduct capacity-building sessions for stakeholders on climate risk insurance concepts, benefits, and processes.
