Qualification
Education, Skills and Experience
Must have:
- PhD in relevant area of specialization
- Should have evidence of consistent Quality Assurance development skills through continued training in Internal Quality Assurance and Quality Management System fields.
- Should have at least Ten (10) years’ of working experience in an institution of higher Learning or Equivalent organization with at least five (5) in a senior Quality Assurance and Quality management
- Evidence of in-depth and extensive knowledge of higher education quality assurance policies, processes and issues.
- Should be customer oriented with a clear understanding of the University’s stakeholders’ needs, preferences and interests.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Be a quality champion by actively creating quality awareness in the University with the aim of promoting quality achievement and performance improvement in the University.
- To monitor compliance with the University and Divisional service charters and to ensure adherence to the charter’s standards.
- Play a key role in preparation of quality reports on Service Charter adherence evaluation, course evaluations, external examiners’ reports, student progression, feedback from the labour market and alumni etc.
- Ensure the University and Divisional charters remain relevant and current by periodically reviewing or recommending reviews.
- Stakeholder Feedback Management by Participate in developing stakeholder feedback tools, and cascade feedback to the relevant departments and monitor implementation.
- Collaborate with the Institutional Data Analytics Unit in preparing information and data required to generate quality reports for internal use as well as for the Commission for University Education (CUE) and other bodies.
- Play a key role in coordinating internal self-evaluation of quality assurance systems as well as external evaluations by CUE and other bodies.
- Monitor the implementation of internal and external evaluation recommendations and submit regular progress update reports.
- Benchmarking and maintaining an inventory of all benchmarking reports in accordance with the University benchmarking policy and work with the Communications and University Public Relations Office when planning for benchmarking visits.
- Review all policies submitted to the Quality Assurance Office ensuring alignment with current policies, guidelines and procedures and advise accordingly.
- Coordinate cascading of all approved University policies.
- Maintain an inventory of university policies and procedures and monitor their review, publication and cascading to staff.
- Implement and maintain a records management system to ensure that all documents and records for the quality assurance office are well maintained, safe, and easily retrievable.
- Plan training logistics for training organized by the quality assurance office.
- Provide administrative support in all functions of the Quality Assurance Office.
- Monitor the effectiveness of blended instructional delivery, especially for DIBeL programs.
- Lead semester-based quality audits to assess compliance with academic and administrative standards.
- Prepare and presents reports to Senate and management on institutional performance and compliance gaps.
- Develop data-driven strategies to monitor teaching, research, and governance.
- Ensure effective integration and use of ICT in teaching and learning processes.
- Monitor quality standards for digital learning platforms such as Microsoft Teams and the university’s e-learning system.
