Position Summary
We are currently looking for an Information Technology Services Associate with a robust background in IT systems administration, user support, infrastructure management, networking, and cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our digital transformation initiatives, including migrating on-premises workloads to the Azure cloud and automating infrastructure deployment using Azure DevOps and Terraform
Key roles and responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for IT helpdesk issues across all levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to technical decisions and strategic planning.
- Present architecture options and technical considerations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- IT systems administration, including Windows servers and applications.
- Manage IT infrastructure and networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Handle complex IT infrastructure solution design and implementation.
- Architect, design, and implement Azure cloud solutions with considerations for availability, performance, cost, scalability, and security.
- Lead the migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud, employing various strategies such as re-hosting, repurposing, and refactoring.
- Produce detailed cloud architecture and network diagrams along with comprehensive documentation.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Build and administer CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
- Apply DevOps concepts, practices, and tools to streamline processes.
- Any other tasks that will be assigned to you.
Academic/Professional qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional certificate Microsoft Azure Cloud (Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer).
- Certificate in Terraform and other relevant cloud technologies would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience IT systems administration, IT Support, infrastructure management, and network management.
- Experience in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
Competencies & Personal attributes:
- Good understanding of cloud industry trends and best practices, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models.
- Knowledgeable in cloud administration and security, windows systems, and virtualization.
- Good user support experience in a busy high-performance environment.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and coding best practices.
- Experience with VoIP systems, IT security protocols, and ITIL framework.
- Good communication (written and verbal), presentation and analytical skills.
- Team player, capable of coaching and developing staff
- Excellent coordination and planning skills
- Multicultural skills to operate across diverse African jurisdictions.
- Resilience, tenacity, and the ability to handle difficult client conversations.
- Comfort with multitasking, flexibility, open-mindedness, and the ability to make quick decisions.
