The National Taxpayers Association (NTA) Hiring National Consultancy to Conduct a Nationwide Survey on Tax Concerns of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)

by Recal

The National Taxpayers Association (NTA) is a recognized independent and nonpartisan organization committed to enhancing good governance in Kenya. Since its establishment in 2006, NTA has spearheaded initiatives that promote citizen empowerment, foster accountability in service delivery, and advocate for equitable management of devolved funds. Guided by its vision of a taxpayer-responsive government and mission to influence government policy through taxpayer-transforming research and capacity building, NTA continues to be a key player in Kenya’s governance and public policy landscape.

In collaboration with OXFAM in Kenya, NTA is embarking on a crucial national assignment to understand and address the tax-related challenges faced by Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Despite existing legal and policy frameworks such as the Persons with Disabilities Act (2003), many PWDs in Kenya still face systemic barriers in accessing tax incentives, owing to bureaucratic processes, limited awareness, and digital exclusion. This initiative seeks to inform inclusive, progressive, and gender-sensitive tax policy reforms by generating evidence-based insights.

To this end, NTA is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced consultant (individual or firm) to conduct a comprehensive nationwide survey. The successful applicant will be tasked with delivering a well-researched and actionable report that guides the formulation of policies that foster social inclusion and economic justice for PWDs.
