Job Purpose and Key responsibilities
Job Purpose:
A role holder will be responsible of in driving Britam Connect and P&D customer engagement, and revenue growth. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that align with business goals, analyzing market trends to identify opportunities, and managing campaigns across various channels.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop annual marketing strategies for the two businesses in liaison with the Head of Marketing.
- Formulate annual budgets in liaison with the Britam Connect CEO, P&D Director, and the Head of Marketing.
- Collaborate with segment leads to understand product offerings and target customers, aligning marketing strategies and campaigns accordingly.
- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising, PR, and promotional activities in liaison with the Head of Marketing for Britam Connect and P&D.
- Liaise with advertising companies/agencies.
- Oversee content on the company’s website and intranet, including development and continuous updates for both Britam Connect and P&D.
- Coordinate and support the development and innovation of Britam Connect and P&D segment products.
- Support, facilitate, develop, and implement strategic marketing plans for Britam Connect and P&D segments.
- Develop promotional materials to support marketing activities of Britam Connect and P&D business segments.
- Manage the execution and implementation of Britam Connect and P&D marketing plans and projects.
- Monitor, review, and report on all Britam Connect and P&D marketing activities and results.
- Drive demand generation by executing activities and programs that promote Britam Connect and P&D products.
- Develop product positioning and messaging to differentiate Britam Connect and P&D segment products in the market.
- Enable sales by communicating product value propositions to the sales team and developing sales tools that support the selling process.
- Plan and manage product launches, including new releases, and oversee the cross-functional implementation of launch plans.
- Conduct market intelligence to analyze the buying behavior and patterns of Britam Connect and P&D target audiences.
- Identify and execute partnership and sponsorship opportunities for Britam Connect and P&D.
- Conceptualize and implement promotional activities across the branch network.
- Oversee all Britam Connect and P&D merchandise and product collateral.
- Develop monthly reports on campaign ROI.
- Develop and monitor the implementation of the annual Britam Connect and P&D marketing calendar.
Brand development and management:
- Act as the steward of the respective business segment brand, supporting the brand promise, vision, position, and architecture, while achieving overall business goals.
- Ensure that all assets of the two business units are effectively managed to strengthen the Britam brand and grow brand equity.
- Plan, strategize, and execute marketing initiatives and creative designs to establish and maintain a strong brand presence in the market.
- Support the two business segments in embracing company values, culture, and policies.
- Conduct analyses and periodic reviews of the brand, competitors, customers, and consumer trends to enhance brand equity and market performance.
- Provide consumer, category, and brand insights to support channel marketing and sales efforts in category management and sales presentations for both business segments.
- Offer strategic direction for customer innovation summit presentations within key segments.
- Develop growth targets, business objectives, and brand strategies for the respective business segments in alignment with Britam’s overall business plan.
- Lead the brand planning process for the respective segments by setting annual targets, conducting innovation reviews, and overseeing brand strategy development.
Research:
- Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends in financial services industry and share in monthly report.
- Follow up on weekly and monthly reports from agency partners and ensure timely execution.
- Monitor and evaluate competitor activity on both traditional and digital media and share monthly report.
- Assist in coordinating focus group discussions and in-depth interviews together with internal and external partners.
Digital Channels and Social Media Management:
- Responsible for the respective business segment content on Company’s website and social media channels, including content development and continuous updating of the website and intranet.
- Conduct monthly website audits on the respective business segment pages to ensure content is up to date.
- Measure the results of digital advertising campaigns to determine their effectiveness and cost benefit ratio.
- Create always-on content together with digital agency.
- Product and Brand SEO – Collaborate across internal teams (marketing, product, technology, research, etc.) to evaluate SEO opportunities that deliver business goals, research project requirements, audit implementation, and analyze the results.
- Enhance usability, design, content and conversion of the company’s websites.
- Devise, implement and manage effective social media marketing campaigns and trends.
- Develop, implement and monitor all digital marketing campaigns (pay per click advertising, email campaigns, Search Engine Optimization, SMS, videos, blogging etc.
- Design internal communication materials i.e. emailers, e-shots, flyers.
Key Performance Measures:
- Customer segments and sizing completion.
- Revenue booked under new production campaigns.
- Count of new individual customers on boarded.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or social sciences.
- MBA in Marketing, PR will be an added advantage.
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
- 3- 6 years working experience in a similar position.
