Position: Pharmaceutical Technologist (4 Positions)
Location: Ruiru
We are looking for qualified Pharmaceutical Technologists to join our growing team in Ruiru. The ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and a passion for providing outstanding pharmaceutical care.
Job Description
As a Pharmaceutical Technologist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Dispensing prescription medications and ensuring accurate interpretation of prescriptions.
- Offering advice on proper medicine usage, storage, and possible side effects to patients.
- Compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceutical products according to regulatory standards.
- Maintaining accurate patient medication records and ensuring confidentiality.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring timely replenishment of drugs and medical supplies.
- Verifying expiry dates of drugs and ensuring outdated or damaged drugs are removed and properly disposed of.
- Assisting in procurement planning by giving feedback on fast-moving and essential drugs.
- Providing general support in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment as per set guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board regulations and other health and safety protocols.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Upholding professional integrity and ethics in all pharmaceutical duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Possess at least one (1) year of working experience in a hospital or pharmacy setup.
- Be registered and have a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, essential for documentation and inventory management.
- Exhibit a high level of integrity and professional ethics.
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
