The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK), formerly Co-operative College of Kenya, was established through The Co-operative University of Kenya Order, Legal Notice No. 161 of 4th November 2011 as a Constituent College of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). The University aims at becoming a leading centre of academic excellence in co-operative education, research, training, and community service in Kenya and the region.
CUK is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has established campuses in Nairobi CBD, with the Main Campus located approximately 20km from Nairobi City Centre in Karen, providing a conducive environment for academic engagement, research, and learning. The University offers academic programmes at Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate levels.

The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK) seeks to recruit suitable applicants to fill vacant positions in the University.
How to Apply;
- Register yourself (Sign up);
- Log in using the new password;
- Go to Main Menu to Fill CUK Online Form 1;
- Fill in the online CUK Form 1 (In the following order:- My Profile, ⇒ Academics Qlfs., ⇒Professional Qlfs., ⇒Employment, ⇒Certificates, ⇒References on the left side- hand on the MAIN MENU);
- Go to Vacant Positions and select the job vacancy you are interested in ( It appears on the Top on the Main Menu list);
- Go to “Apply this One”;
- Go to “View Requirements & Apply”;
- Submit your application ( you will receive a confirmation of successful submission i.e. status will read “Submitted”)
Applicants should:
- Visit the University website www.cuk.ac.ke on the footer under the IMPORTANT LINKS section, CLICK ONLINE RECRUITMENT PORTAL, log in and fill out the application form, attach testimonials. Submission of the online application and the attachments is MANDATORY;
- Submit one (1) hard copy of the letter of application, certificates, testimonials and updated curriculum vitae to include full details of education, professional qualifications, experience, membership with professional bodies, current salary, names and addresses of three referees;
- Academic staff should attach:
- Evidence of publications;
- Evidence of supervision of postgraduate students;
- Evidence of curricula developed;
- Evidence research funds attracted; and
- Evidence of Research/Consultancy activities.

v. Recommendations from at least three (3) referees should be sent separately to the address above on or before 3rd June, 2025 at noon;
vi. All applications must be received by 3rd June, 2025 at noon. Applications received later than this period will not be considered;
vii. Candidates with academic qualifications obtained from foreign Universities will be expected to submit recognition and equation of certificates by the Commission of University Education (CUE).

Note 3: Successful candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, including submission of VALID AND CURRENT clearance certificates from the following:
- Police Clearance Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
- Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board;
- Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority;
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and
- Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
