Position: Digital Solutions Support Engineer
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Department: Digital Engineering Solutions
Reporting To: Group Digital Engineering Solutions Manager

About the Role:
The Digital Solutions Support Engineer will play a critical role in the execution and support of the Group’s advanced digital solutions. The role involves working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure successful deployment, training, integration, and ongoing support of various digital technologies and platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation within the water and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training & Support:
Deliver hands-on training sessions for both internal staff and clients. Ensure users are fully equipped to understand and operate digital solutions efficiently. - Sales Support:
Partner with the sales team to support business development efforts. This includes participating in customer meetings, providing technical demonstrations, and helping to close strategic deals. - Deployment & Integration:
Oversee the end-to-end implementation of digital solutions including:- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
- Internet of Things (IoT) solutions
- Power Monitoring and Control Systems
- Smart and Prepaid Metering Solutions
- Data Centre Infrastructure Solutions
- Technical Expertise:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively. Provide expert-level advice on system integration, performance optimization, and best practices for digital technologies. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of installations, configurations, training sessions, and any issues encountered. Ensure transparency and traceability in all technical operations.
Required Experience and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in digital engineering support or a similar technical role.
- Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- ICT Networking
- Operational Technology (OT) deployments
- Integration of Industrial Control Systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while being an active contributor in team environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
