Job Description:
The Assistant Director, Medical Services will play a central role in managing patient care, supervising junior medical staff, and responding to medical emergencies. This is a senior-level position that requires both clinical and leadership capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviewing patients and providing written recommendations.
- Undertaking first-on-call duties.
- Performing both medical and surgical procedures.
- Preparing for and responding to emergencies and disasters.
- Providing psycho-social interventions.
- Delivering clinical services directly to patients.
- Training and mentoring Medical Interns and other students.
- Consulting and performing various surgeries.
Requirements for Appointment:
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from a recognized institution.
- Has successfully completed a one-year internship at a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Possesses a valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Has a minimum of four (4) years relevant working experience in either the public or private sector.
- Proficient in computer applications, evidenced by a certificate from a recognized institution.
